This online workout led by Gwen Vernon, coach of Hope Floats BCS Dragon Boat crew is designed for Breast Cancer Survivors (BCS) and their supporters.
Let's get fit and stay fit, in spite of physically distancing. Our crew can't get in the gym to workout together this winter, so we have decided to work out together online.
These free sessions are 2 x per week from Saturday February 13th through Tuesday April 27th.
Tuesdays 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Saturdays 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
We encourage everyone to attend all the sessions, but if you can't then feel free to attend all the sessions you can.
No equipment is necessary. All fitness levels welcome.
Saturdays will be strength training using body weight and household articles such as soup cans or water bottles to use as dumbbells. Of course if you have a set of weights, you may use them too! ;)
Tuesdays will be cardio workouts.
The workouts are designed with a progressive approach, and allow for all fitness and mobility levels.
These workouts will be paid for in full by the Ontario Trillium Grant awarded to South Niagara Canoe Club to introduce Dragon Boat to BCS and their supporters throughout the Niagara Region with the goal of Ontarians living more active lifestyles.
