NO EXPERIENCE IN DRAGON BOATING IS NECESSARY!Warlocks Indoor Winter Program Dates – TBD at Welland International Flatwater Centre. 16 Townline Tunnel Road, Welland, ON Winter Indoor Dragon Boat Practices include 45 minutes circuit training in WIFC’s gym to build cardio and strength endurance; 45 minutes in dragon boat paddling techniques in WIFC’s water tank. Program includes designated dates for full-day training camps with video review. To register for Warlocks on-water program To register for Warlocks Indoor Winter Program, contact Warlocks snccwarlocks@gmail.com ABOUT US Our competitive crew of master-aged paddlers trains year-round at Welland’s International Flatwater Centre (WIFC) with coach Doug Jones, Welland resident, named Welland’s Coach of the Year and inducted into Welland’s Wall of Fame in 2018. Our Winter Indoor Dragon Boat Program is from December to March in the WIFC, once a week, on Saturdays from 9:30-11:00 am culminating in an optional week’s training camp in Sarasota, Florida in April. Our Summer On-Water Dragon Boat Program is from May to October on the Welland Canal. Practices are 3x weekly. Warlocks attend at least 2 weekly practices and race once per month from May to September Our Dragon Boat Program includes a prescribed set of weekly cardio and weight-bearing exercises to build paddling endurance.
