scheduleBulletin 5 – 2023 Canal Dragons Crews and Rosters Canadian Championships There have been scheduling and roster changes since the last bulletin. Please read. Thank you for representing South Niagara Canoe Club at the Canadian Dragon Boat Championships. We are fortunate to have one of the best flatwater courses in the world to practice on, and soon we will have the pleasure of sharing that water with elite athletes from all over Canada. This is an amazing and humbling opportunity for Canal Dragons and Hope Floats. Canal Dragons has entered six crews in the Canadian Dragon Boat Championships (CDBC’s). “Teamwork is the secret that makes common people achieve uncommon results.” –Ifeanyi Enoch Onuoha Please arrive on site each day you are racing at least 90 minutes before your first race. Team rosters are below. While family, friends and pets are welcome to attend as spectators, be advised that they will not be permitted in Athlete Village. Racers are permitted to leave Athlete Village to spend time with their family and friends and are responsible to keep track of their own schedule. In each division up to five standard crews and two small crews may be invited to represent Canada in the CCWC’s. Being invited alone does not mean the crew will race in the CCWC’s.
The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.
Crew Lists Division: BCP Breast Cancer Survivor Paddlers Category: Standard Crew July 20 & 21 There are no spares. Racers marked with an ‘*’ are rostered on Para or Mixed Senior A crews racing on the same day.
Behind every strong person is a story that gave them no other choice. – Nakeia Homer Division: Para 2 Category: Standard Crew July 20 & 21 Paddlers marked with an ‘*’, are rostered on the Breast Cancer Survivor and/or the Mixed Senior A crew racing on the same day. This crew has been given a bye for the 2K race.

Division: Senior A Women – comprised of Senior A,B,C (born in 1984 or earlier) Category: Standard Crew – July 22 & 23 Due to scheduling conflicts, we had to request from Dragon Boat Canada permission to make some last-minute additions to the Senior A women’s roster. They authorized some last-minute roster changes. All racers marked with an ‘*’ below are also rostered on other crews racing on the same day making it necessary to roster extra racers. Some paddlers will share seats, some may not race.
