South Niagara Canoe Club offers paddling programs in Sprint Canoe/Kayak, Dragon Boat, Outrigger Canoe and Summer Camps for kids. Our programs are suited to those trying a boat for the first time, recreational or high performance athletes and everyone in between.
We invite you to come paddle with us. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do.
SNCC was established in 2008 to offer paddle sports (sprint canoe/kayak and dragon boat) to people of all ages and abilities. We offer a wide range of programs from Canoe Kids Camp through to competitive sprint canoe/kayak and dragon boat. Sprint canoe/kayak is an Olympic sport that combines strength, endurance, and technique for individual athletes and crew boats. SNCC has programs suited to those trying a boat for the first time, Olympic hopefuls and everyone in between. Dragon boat paddling is a team sport with crews of up to 20 paddlers. SNCC has dragon boat programs for competitive, recreational, breast cancer survivors and special needs individuals. We acknowledge that the lands we paddle on are on the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples, many of whom continue to live and work here today. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and is within the land protected by the Dish with One Spoon Wampum agreement.
To promote a fun and inclusive environment that offers the opportunity to participate in paddling sports including sprint canoe/kayak and dragon boat through high quality, safe, recreational and high-performance programs.
