Due to the lack of volunteers to run the program, unfortunately we’ve had to cancel the 2012 T-Ball program. However, if you are interested in running the program, please contact Dan Fiorito @ 473-5170 (a full police background check must be provided and the hall will reimburse the cost of the check).

Well, after what was a beautiful summer, fall is now upon us, that dreaded frost on the windshield in the morning, the nip in the air, arrrghhh the part of year we all seem to dread.
Our programs have all started up again and I will be updating the pages accordingly. If you have any questions, please send me an email at ac.ccnsnull@naD and I’ll respond as quickly as possible.
One important update to announce, our regular monthly meetings have now been moved to the second Thursday of each month. We will be holding our Annual General Meeting and Elections on Thursday October 13th at 7:00pm at the Hall. I would encourage all those interested in helping or joining the Board to come out join our meeting, there’s no obligation and you an help as little or as much as you wish!
See you in October!

Friends & Neighbours;
We will be holding a “Jane’s Walk” on May 7 from 3 -5:00 pm. The Hall will be open for all participants from 12:00pm – 6:0opm
This is an all ages, pet friendly, wheel chair accessible event which involves walking on paved residental roads. We will begin at the South Neebing community centre and walk along Mountain Rd and Coppin Rd (total distance = 2.75 km). Along our way we will learn about the Nor’wester mountain range’s geological features and local wildlife. We will also get a great glimpse of the spring run off, check out a neighbourhood climbing wall, and visit a new city park nestled in the woods: ‘Cowan Park Nature Reserve and Walking Trails.’ We will wrap up back at the community centre with a coffee/tea social and poster displays about the Nor’wester range
Very briefly, “Jane’s Walk” is an international event that is held on the first weekend of every May. Jane Jacobs was a writer and urban activist who began organizing guided walking tours through city neighbourhoods to encourage people to familiarize themselves with places where they live work and play. This event is endorsed by the City of Thunder Bay and I am working with Amy Siciliano, Coordinator THunder Bay Crime Prevention Council.
