We have limited space in our Learn to Paddle sessions due to covid-19. We have set limits with an abundance of caution.  We are waiting to see how the omicron variant plays out before setting more dates for Learn to Paddle.

If you cannot attend any of the sessions that are listed, if they are full, or if you want to wait to see how the omicron variant is going, please register here to put your name on a waitlist.   We will email you when we set new dates.  We hope to have more this winter, but if covid won't allow it, we will have many on the water when spring and summer roll around.

Novice racing camp is a two week (10 day) introduction to the sport of sprint canoe and sprint kayak with a focus on developing fitness and introducing the fundamentals of balance, technique, and crew boat skills for racing. The camp culminates in a racing opportunity at the end of week two.

Novice Racing Camp is supportive to beginners and those without previous canoe/kayak experience. Participants should be enthusiastic to try out the competitive side of the sport and be willing to challenge themselves as they progress.

Novice Racing Camp will function both independently and combine with the Canoe Kids Camp to create a full day schedule. Canoe Kids Camp is focused primarily on fun and recreation, and will provide a complimentary balance to the competition focus of the Novice Racing component.

All coaching, equipment and race fees are included in registration fee. All activities, including the race, will be taking place at the Welland International Flatwater Centre.

A lifejacket (PFD) must be worn at all times in and around the water. Participants are encouraged to bring their own PFD every day.
