This webpage features options for Fitness Training. New to 2024, athletes at South Niagara Canoe Club (SNCC) can participate in Personal Training Sessions with Coach Öztürk Kuru. As well, athletes can use Pre-Recorded Workouts led by former Coach Gwen Vernon. Keep reading for more details.
Coach Öztürk has extensive experience competing as an athlete in high performance sprint kayak at the national and international level in Turkiye. As well, he has worked with the Istanbul Dragon Boat Festival Company Coaching and with the Turkish Canoe Federation Canoe Sprint as a National Team Coach. He knows the commitment and effort it takes to achieve worthwhile goals. He also knows how to support and motivate athletes to reach their goals.

South Niagara Canoe Club has pre-recorded workouts available on our YouTube Channel. Some require weights or exercise bands. But generally, they are all about 1 hour long and a great addition to your training routine.
