Covid-19 and South Niagara Canoe Club - last updated April 09 2021
The province of Ontario is currently under a Stay at Home order. All in person programs at SNCC are on hold. Zoom workouts will continue.
South Niagara Canoe Club has received authorization from the City of Welland for all our programs to proceed under our Return to Paddle Guidelines.
On May 20th the Ontario government announced their plan for reopening. Click here to see the reopening plan.
All programming will be subject to fluctuating regulations. South Niagara Canoe Club is monitoring the situation closely and following the advice of professionals and experts. The safety, health and well being of our members and the community is our number one priority.
Sprint Canoe/Kayak programming is planned to commence as usual once the Stay at Home order is lifted. A modified dragon boat spring program is planned to commence on May 2nd. This modified version will be mostly off-water training.
These are uncertain times that require constant monitoring and flexibility in decision making. The Board appreciates your patience and understanding and will issue updates on a regular basis.
Any program that is canceled by SNCC due to covid-19 is subject to a refund. If the program is cancelled prior to the start date, the refund will be 100%, if it is cancelled part way through, the refund will be prorated.
