Brought to you by the Ontario Trillium Fund these 90-minute sessions give Niagara Region residents the opportunity to try the sport of Dragon Boat in a safe and fun environment at no charge.

No experience necessary. Have fun, learn the sport, the stroke and gain the skills and confidence to join a Dragon Boat crew. Ages 18 - 80+. Dragon boat is for everyone. There is no limit to how many Learn to Paddle sessions you may attend.  

What's in it for us?  We are recruiting for all our Dragon Boat Crews. You are invited to join our crews, recreational and/or competitive.

Présentées par le Fonds Trillium de l'Ontario, ces séances de 90-minutes donnent aux résidents de la région de Niagara l'occasion d'essayer gratuitement le sport du bateau-dragon dans un environnement sécuritaire et amusant.

Veuillez faire défiler vers le bas pour vous inscrire.

Aucune expérience nécessaire. Amusez-vous, apprenez le sport, le coup et acquérez les compétences et la confiance nécessaires pour rejoindre un équipage de bateau-dragon. De 18 à 80 ans et plus. Le bateau dragon est pour tout le monde. Il n'y a pas de limite au nombre de sessions Apprendre à pagayer auxquelles vous pouvez assister.

Qu'y a-t-il pour nous? Nous recrutons pour tous nos équipages de bateaux dragons. Nous vous invitons à vous joindre à nos équipages, récréatifs et/ou compétitifs.

    Come paddle with us at our Introductory Indoor Dragon Boat sessions at the Welland International Flatwater Centre.

    90 minute sessions, 45-minutes in the gym and 45-minutes in the indoor paddle tank.  

    Sessions are Mondays December 4, 11, and 18

    Time: 4:30pm-6:00pm

    Address: 16 Townline Tunnel Road, Welland


    $40.00 for all 3 sessions

    $30 for any 2 sessions

    $15 for any 1 session

    Try it in December! If you love it as much as we do, join Canal Dragons for Winter training January through March! 

    Prices for the full winter training will be prorated to match your start date.

    • Please wear indoor shoes in the gym and paddle tank area. 
    • Gym equipment, including paddles, are to be returned to their proper location at the end of a practice.
    • Gym equipment in the fitness area is to be wiped down.
    • Weights are to be stored in the proper area.
    • Change rooms are left clean with no damage to lockers, garbage is in its proper place, etc.
