u21 high performance program Details

U21 High Performance is for experienced paddlers who are interested in competition and reaching their full potential. Participants will be competing at the local and provincial levels, as well as National and perhaps International events. Athletes will be instructed according to Train to Perform standards of the Sport Canada’s Sport For Life pathway. This program has 8-10 sessions a week of training, focused on on-water and off-water workouts. Competitive preparation will focus on singles and crew boats and will encompass goal setting and specific race strategy.

Requirements:

be at least age 14 as of January 1, 2024 or with permission from the coach
have experience in sprint canoe/kayak and taken at least one program at SNCC or another CKC affiliate

Dates and Pricing:

Spring Session: May 1 - June 30, 2024, $525 + HST
Summer Session: July 1 - August 31, 2024, $430 + HST
Fall Session: September 1 - November 30, 2024, $500 + HST
Full on-water session: May 1 - November 30, 2024, $1353.15 + HST
Winter Session: November 2024 - April 2025, price TBD
Racing fees extra.
At Coach's discretion, on-water paddling can begin before May 1 and end before November 30.

Program Schedule: No practices on Holidays. In case a Saturday session is affected by the event schedule at the Welland International Flatwater Centre (WIFC), every effort will be made to reschedule or relocate that session.

Practice times may vary depending on competition schedule and weather.
SNCC reserves the right to delay or end programming early due to weather, and/or water conditions, and enrollment.
